Frequently Asked Questions
How do I check my IPO allotment status?
To check your IPO allotment status, click the 'Check Allotment' button next to the IPO name on this page. You will be redirected to the official registrar website (KFin Technologies, Link Intime, or MUFG Intime). Enter your PAN number, application number, or DP/Client ID to view your allotment result.
When is IPO allotment finalised?
IPO allotment is typically finalised 6 days after the IPO closes. For example, if an IPO closes on August 3, allotment is finalised on August 6 or 7. The exact allotment date is mentioned in the IPO prospectus and on the registrar's website.
What details do I need to check IPO allotment?
You need any one of the following to check IPO allotment: (1) Your PAN number, (2) Your IPO application number, or (3) Your DP/Client ID (Demat account number). PAN number is the easiest — it works across all registrar portals.
What is KFin Technologies allotment?
KFin Technologies (formerly Karvy) is one of India's largest IPO registrars. Many mainboard and SME IPOs use KFin as their registrar for handling share allotment. You can check allotment for KFin-managed IPOs at ipostatus.kfintech.com using your PAN.
What should I do if I did not get IPO allotment?
If you did not receive IPO allotment, the blocked amount (ASBA) will be automatically unblocked in your bank account within 2 business days of allotment finalisation. No action is needed from your side. You can then use those funds to buy shares from the stock exchange on or after the listing date.
Can I check IPO allotment on BSE?
Yes. You can check IPO allotment on the BSE website at bseindia.com/investors/appli_check.aspx. Select the IPO name from the dropdown, enter your application number or PAN, and submit. This works for all IPOs listed on BSE.
How long does it take for shares to be credited after allotment?
After IPO allotment is finalised, shares are typically credited to your Demat account 1–2 business days before the listing date. So if listing is on August 6, shares are usually in your Demat account by August 5.
