Tracking smart money flows…
What is the Smart Money Tracker?
The Smart Money Tracker shows quarter-on-quarter shareholding changes for FIIs (Foreign Institutional Investors), DIIs (Domestic Institutional Investors), and Promoters across 900+ listed Indian companies. Data is sourced from mandatory SEBI LODR Regulation 31 disclosures filed after each quarter end.
When institutions increase their stake, it often signals confidence in a company's outlook. When they exit, it can be an early warning signal. Tracking these movements helps retail investors follow where “smart money” is flowing before it reflects in price.
How to Read the Data
FII Movement
Foreign portfolio investors registered with SEBI. FII Increased = they bought more shares this quarter vs last quarter (in % of total equity).
DII Movement
Domestic institutions — mutual funds, insurance companies, banks. DII Increased = domestic money entering the stock in a meaningful way.
Promoter Activity
Company founders and promoter group. Promoter Bought = insiders increasing stake, often a strong conviction signal about the business.
Frequently Asked Questions
How often is the data updated?
Data is updated quarterly after companies file their shareholding disclosures under SEBI LODR Regulation 31. The Q1 FY27 data (Apr–Jun 2026) is current. Next update is expected around 21 October 2026 for Q2 FY27.
What does the % change mean?
The change shown is percentage-point (pp) difference in shareholding vs the prior quarter. For example, +2.5% means the institution holds 2.5 percentage points more equity than last quarter.
Can I filter by multiple categories?
Yes. Select two or more filter chips to find companies where both FIIs and DIIs are increasing (or any combination). The tracker shows only companies that appear in all selected categories.
Is this data real-time?
No — this is quarterly shareholding data from regulatory filings, not real-time trades. For live trade data, refer to NSE/BSE bulk deal and block deal reports.
